Creating perfect eyebrows isn't just about trimming, plucking and tweezing. It's about creating a look. It's about creating beauty.

Some common errors:

  • Eyebrows too close
  • Eyebrows too far apart
  • Eyebrows too bushy
  • Eyebrows too thin
  • Eyebrows arched too high

Some helpful tips:

  • Never trim the very last hairs from the eyebrow.
  • Never tweeze the hairs at the end of the eyebrow. Brush and fix them with gel. The longer the better.
  • Use a brow pencil or powder prior to using brow gel to avoid clumping.

Here are some more helpful hints:

  1. Prepare the skin.
  2. Tweezing after a shower and/or using a toner is best.
  3. Since it may cause redness, avoid tweezing before an important event.
  4. Do not wax if:
    • Your skin is peeling
    • You have had a recent laser treatment or cosmetic facial work
    • You use Accutane, Retin-A or other prescription acne medications
  5. Do not shave eyebrows.
  6. Do not tweeze white hairs from the brow; color them.
  7. If you need more guidance, we recommend that you see an accredited professional.

Eyebrows are the framework of our eyes, and are a central feature that defines our face. It is known that eyes are the windows of expression and it is therefore important to have eyebrows that compliment and even enhance this central feature. The proper eyebrow design allows for the correction of asymmetrical and very fine brows. This can be accomplished by a number of methods, including eyebrow filling through the use of brow pencil or for more lasting effects, the use of permanent makeup. As far as eyebrow thickness is concerned, the recent trend has in fact been towards more full and natural looking brows. However, there is still reason to support a finer brow for those among us who have a small and delicate facial structure. The idea is that each face is unique and therefore all eyebrow design is one of a kind. Whether the eyebrow is thick or thin, there are number of guidelines for eyebrow design that are emphasized by Sarit.

  1. Arriving at the correct proportion, which entails making sure the eyebrow begins at the proper place, (the edge of the nose) and end at the proper place (end of the eye)
  2. It is vital that the highest point of the brow will be at the last 2/3rd of the external portion of the brow
  3. The brow should also always be thicker in the beginning of the brow (edge of nose) and will gradually become thinner as it gets close to the end of the eye. Natural, but gradual progression is essential so that the brow will not look as though it is on one continuous line.
  4. When the color of the brow is too light or white, it is recommended to color the brow prior to shaping it. This allows for more flexibility in shaping as well as creating more volume.
  5. The most important feature is that the eyebrows should harmoniously flow with the individuals facial structure.

Note: It is highly recommended not to touch the eyebrow two weeks prior to the first visit. If for any reason this is not possible, an adjustment in appointment time should be made.

How is this accomplished?

The art and technique of eyebrow design calls for the usage of delicate wax, as opposed to a tweezer. With wax, the process is more efficient, painless, and results in hair that grows slower and finer. Additionally, a perfect eyebrow is one that is defined through the use of temporary or permanent make up. There are two ways to fill in the eyebrow.

  1. A unique brow pencil can be used. This pencil, which is available at Pretty Woman works based on the PH balance of the skin. What this means is that no matter what the complexion of the individual is, the pencil adapts to the level of the skins PH, and to the skins color and tones, achieving natural results. The price of the pencil is $30
  2. The second method is permanent make up. There are a few advantages to permanent makeup:
    • There is no need to retouch the makeup on a daily basis. This of course is a wonderful advantage to those among us who are looking for a time efficient way to look beautiful.
    • Permanent make up is also ideal since it does not smudge, guaranteeing a perfect look.
